8. Lateral extension sitting
The exercise demonstrates how to stretch all the major leg muscles and the inner muscles.
- Bend one leg at the knee in front of you, and take the other as far as possible.
- Direct the toes of the abducted leg towards you, feeling a stretch.
- Lean forward slightly with a straight back, holding the position for 10 seconds.
- Then try to lower your chest to the knee of your outstretched leg.
- Hold for another 15 seconds.
