8. Lateral extension sitting

The exercise demonstrates how to stretch all the major leg muscles and the inner muscles.

  1. Bend one leg at the knee in front of you, and take the other as far as possible.
  2. Direct the toes of the abducted leg towards you, feeling a stretch.
  3. Lean forward slightly with a straight back, holding the position for 10 seconds.
  4. Then try to lower your chest to the knee of your outstretched leg.
  5. Hold for another 15 seconds.
