10 Exercises to Relieve Shoulder Pain and Tightness

Exercise 3: chest traction

This exercise helps increase flexibility and range of motion in the shoulders.

  • Stand up straight with both hands behind your back with a gymnastics ribbon, belt, or towel. 
  • Raise your arms slowly, bringing your shoulder blades towards each other. 
  • Lift your chin and lookup. 
  • Hold for 30 seconds.

Repeat the exercise 3-5 times.
