Traction Pose – Uttanasana
Literally the name of this asana can be translated as “unhurried stretching of the spine.”
- Get into a mountain pose, pull up your knees.
- As you exhale, slowly lean forward, touching your toes with your hands.
- Do not bend your knees.
- If the stretch allows, place your palms on the floor on either side of your feet.
- Ideally, you should completely hang your upper body and rest your head on your knees, relaxing in this position.
- Stay in this position for 3-4 deep breaths.
