Description
This easy Ground Beef and Spinach Skillet with Feta combines savory ground beef, fresh spinach, garlic, onion, oregano, and paprika, finished with tangy crumbled feta and fresh parsley. A flavorful one-pan dinner perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 onion, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and cook until softened and translucent.
- Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Cook until browned and cooked through. Drain excess grease if necessary.
- Stir in the minced garlic, dried oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook briefly until fragrant.
- Add the chopped spinach and stir until wilted and evenly combined with the beef.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese over the mixture.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Drain excess grease after browning the ground beef to prevent an oily finished dish.
- Taste before adding extra salt because feta cheese is naturally salty.
- For the best texture, add the feta toward the end of cooking rather than cooking it for an extended period.
